The Nextiva S1800e Series — which includes the S1808e and S1816e multi-port encoders — deliver full frame rate with high resolution video on all ports, triple streaming H.264 and MPEG-4 video encoding technology for both recording and live video viewing, and an external power supply. These powerful multi-port video encoders offer a comprehensive feature set that includes storage on the edge – a failover mechanism that ensures video is recorded if connection with management software is lost – and camera tampering detection. On-board motion detection and analytics (license required) are also supported, allowing relevant data to be transmitted over the network while helping to improve system performance. Additionally, these video encoders have an optional audio feature to capture and stream audio in real time.

The S1808e and S1816e multi-port video encoders are especially effective in large-scale applications that require high-quality video, delivering triple-stream, H.264 and MPEG-4 video up to D1/30 frames per second on all 8 or 16 ports. The Nextiva S1800e Series incorporates industry-leading H.264 video encoding technology for superior imagery and optimal bandwidth utilization. The encoders optimize use of storage resources — reducing use of network bandwidth and storage by up to 50 percent over MPEG-4. With triple streaming, the encoders also deliver greater flexibility enabling video to be viewed at high resolution with excellent image clarity, but stored at lower resolution.

The Nextiva S1800e Series also features SNMP and dual LAN support for ease of integration with IT infrastructure and an intuitive Web browser interface with live viewing of video accessible through Nextiva. These solutions are built on an embedded Linux operating system to provide a scalable, open platform for superior security and reliability.

The S1808e and S1816e multi-port encoders feature an external power supply, virtually eliminating the need to replace functional encoders because of faulty internal power units. Nextiva S1808e power consumption is 20W and S1816e just 25W, allowing the Nextiva S1800e Series to use far less power than competitive products. This makes both the S1808e and S1816e highly efficient and environmentally friendly. And, the Nextiva S1800e Series can be managed using Nextiva Video Management Software and Nextiva EdgeVR IP-based network video recorder helping organizations to deploy solutions that best address their budgets and objectives. Through the Nextiva Advantage SDK package, the S1816e-SP can also be integrated to third-party video management software.

The Nextiva S1800e Series is built for easy installation and operation in virtually any type of video system. These rack-mountable encoders can be placed in an IT closet with other network equipment, plugged into the Ethernet network, and configured individually using Verint's Windows-based SConfigurator software, Web Browser Interface or in batches using Nextiva Control Center.
