Five Minutes With . . . Verint’s Courtney Benjamin

In the ‘Five Minutes With...’ series, we will be asking a wide range of our Verinteers the same six questions. This allows us to hear new ideas, share fresh perspectives, and showcase the talent that exists within our company.

Next up, Courtney Benjamin!

Name: Courtney Benjamin

What is your job title: I am a Solutions Consultant for the Web & Mobile applications here at Verint.

Please describe what you do day-to-day in one sentence (your description can be as serious, or as fun, as you’d like).

This means I support the Sales & Account Management teams with things such as listening to a customer’s business requirements and pulling in the Verint solutions that will bring them value. I absolutely LOVE being a Solutions Consultant. I find it is such a dynamic job where I am constantly presented with new challenges, learning new solutions, and building new relationships with really interesting people inside & outside of Verint.

Name a distinct moment in your career that has had a significant impact on you. Why was it impactful?

The most impactful career moment for me has to be the 2024 Verint Sales Kickoff conference. I received multiple awards, including making President’s Club, Web & Mobile Solutions Consultant of the Year, and Game Changer of the Year. These awards were a mix of performance-based, peer-voted, and management-selected. I was so incredibly grateful and proud to receive these awards, and it really validated for me that while I enjoy my job, I am also really good at it.

What would you tell your past self on your first day at Verint, considering your current experience and perspective?

I started my career at Verint two weeks after I graduated from my university, UNCW. I was a blank slate when it came to “the corporate world.” If I could go back and tell day one Courtney something, I would say to her, “They hired you for a reason. Do not question what you’re capable of doing. You are not an imposter, and you will learn something new every day and carry that with you throughout your career. No one has all the answers. A good attitude, kindness and hard work are what you need.”

How do you navigate change when working in an industry where technological advancements are constant?

Perspective. I try to be very open minded and am always learning. I find that if there’s a time where I’m not learning something new, I tend to feel bored. My entire career I have navigated and leaned into industry & technology changes. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by something new, especially things you don’t understand. But I feel like there’s always an opportunity to look at these advancements as opportunities to learn or create something new. That perspective keeps my job exciting.

Tell us about one of the role models that has contributed to your success and why.

Everyone from Taylor Swift 😉 to my mom has contributed to my success. However, the one person that has contributed to my success every single day is my dad. He is the most hardworking and driven person I know. He has always and continues to encourage me to push myself and work hard for what I want. I’ve been lucky to have a front row seat to this hard working, smart & loving powerhouse. He inspires me every day to be my best self, show up for others, and work extremely hard.

Your team was just given a TV show! What’s the title? Bonus point for the genre.

The Pressure Pit: A super intense & high-pressure game show.
